From time to time guided tours of the Craft Heritage Trails of North Central Montana will be offered. It may not be surprising that agriculture is the largest industry in Montana. More than 90% of the private land in Montana is farmland.
What is more surprising is the diversity of agricultural activities in the state. Cherry orchards, goats that control weeds, organic gardens and farms, beef, sheep, and pig production, small truck farms, Montana grown eggs from free-range chickens, and Montana wheat are just a few of the fruits of Montana's harvests.
